Although curbside collection is encouraged, the Asphodel-Norwood transfer station is open to Asphodel-Norwood residents (photo identification is required) for materials that are not picked up at the curb as well as bagged garbage ($4.00 per bag). The Public Works Department currently operates the Landfill Site.
The transfer station is located at 187 County Road 40, Norwood.
Regular Hours: Mondays and Saturdays 8:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.
Winter Hours (January 1 - March 31): Saturday 8:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. & Monday 9:00a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
By-law 2017-67 guides the collection, removal and disposal of waste for the Township of Asphodel-Norwood.
